An obituary was published

Beth Kirkham Barratt was born in Lehi, Utah in 1930. She was the third child of five children born to Burton and Edith Elizabeth Chilton Kirkham. She was born during the depression and times were tough.

She met the love of here life, Fred D. (Ted) Barratt. They were married in American Fork and raised 3 sons, Ted Burton, Stephen C and Randy K. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Her husband Ted passed away August 2, 1979. She later married Glen Werner in 1995 and he passed away in 2009.

She owned and operated Beth's Beauty Boutique and enjoyed the many friends she made. She modeled clothing for several department stores. She was active in her community serving on different boards and the PTA. She was active in her church and loved singing in the choir. She was a charter member of the Alpine Country Club and loved to golf. She was especially proud of her "Hole in One."

She passed away on march 29, 2023 in Highland, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Madge, brothers, Sherman, Kenneth and Grant, and her husbands, her son Randy and grandson Craig. She is survived by sons, Ted (Jennifer) and Stephen (Claudette) also 14 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Beth will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Highland 18th Ward Chapel, located at 4679 West 11000 North, Highland, Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9:00-10:30 am prior to services at the church. Interment will follow in the American Fork City Cemetery.2

Grant Kirkham

Grant Elwood Kirkham, 80, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father at his home in Kuna, Idaho with his loving wife and son Burton by his side. Grant was born on March 27, 1937 in Lehi, Utah to Burton and Edith Chilton Kirkham. He was raised and attended schools in Lehi. Grant married Roberta Morgan on November 22, 1954 in Riverton, Utah. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Boise Idaho LDS Temple. They enjoyed 62 years together raising their 5 children. They lived in Lehi until Grant retired and then moved to Kuna, Idaho.

Grant owned and operated a service station, "Grant's Hi-Way Service", for six years in Lehi where he made many friends and was highly respected in the community. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 3 Union for 42 years. Grant was a Superintendent for Gibbons and Reed Construction Co. for 35 years, where he was known for his outstanding job performance. Everyone knew when he was given a job to oversee that it would be done right and completed on time. All those who worked with him became life-long friends. Grant had a special rapport with everyone he met. Grant enjoyed being outdoors with his horses, cows and sheep. He especially loved the deer hunting adventures with his wife and sons. He was always willing to help his neighbors, whether pushing snow or digging a hole with his CAT Backhoe.

Grant is survived by his wife Roberta; three sons: Kim (DeAnne), Jay (Kathi), Burton; and two daughters Elane and Elizabeth; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister Beth Barratt. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Sherman and Kenneth; one sister Madge; and a grandson Cody Brooks.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at the Lehi City Cemetery, 1525 N. 600 E. in Lehi, UT.4

An obituary was published

Leland George Grein was born August 17, 1925, at St. Benedict, Iowa, to George J. and Loretta (Immerfall) Grein. He was honored to serve his country in the United States Army from 1950 - 1952. Following his discharge, he became a farm hand, working for the Loss family for most of his life. He was proud to be a farmer. Leland was married to Dorothy Cogley on August 5, 1967, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. Leland loved his church, praying the Rosary frequently and taking his turn to pray in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. He had a strong work ethic and would help his neighbors whenever he could. Leland enjoyed working with iron as well as wood but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. After Dorothy died in 2004, Leland missed her dearly.

Leland became a resident of the Algona Manor Care Center in August 2013 and died there on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2013 at the age of 88.

Survivors include his two daughters, Mary Lee and husband Jerry Byers of Pella, Iowa and their son Jacob and Marlene and husband Jay Winkler of Norwalk, Iowa and their daughter Kylie. Also surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Grein of St. Benedict, Iowa and Ronald Grein and wife Donna of Mason City, Iowa. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy on January 21, 2004 and one brother Harold.
